Placement Support System (PSS)
- In the fostering world, a placement is created when a foster child is placed with a foster carer.
- The placement brings with it a multi agency fostering network.
- The well being and needs of the foster child are paramount and foster carers are the key persons in any placement.
- On top of the challenging behaviour presented by the foster child, foster carers are presented with another challenge brought about by the chaotic nature of network interaction.
- The success of the placement depends on the ability of the foster carer to keep a tight and accurate record of all communications and liaisons with the fostering network.
